I am looking for models to collaborate with me in the creation of fine art photography. I'm working on several different projects but I'm always open to new ideas as well.

What qualities do you look for in a model?

Anyone who is interested in art, likes being part of the creative process, and wants to end up with some beautiful, timeless photos. No experience is necessary, I work with many first time models and get great results. Any background in art, dance, or yoga is a plus, as is a love of nature and hiking.

What does this pay?

I will provide several 8x10 prints of the best images, usually 1-2 prints per roll. Occasionally I will hire exceptional professional models. Payment is negotiable based on need, I can pay a small stipend for your time or expenses.

What are my pictures going to be used for?

Right now I am building my portfolio to show prospective galleries and fine art dealers. My goal is to exhibit photographs in a gallery and eventually publish a book.

I would like some fine art photos taken of myself but I don't want my pictures (or, any pictures that show my face) on a web site.

That's fine, I never use the images in a manner that isn't agreed upon beforehand. The ultimate goal is for my images to be published in a book or fine art magazines.

I like your work and would like to model but I don't live anywhere near you.

I am based in Portland, Oregon. However, I travel frequently, it's possible I will be in your area sometime (especially anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, California, Missouri, or Europe). Contact me and maybe we can set something up at a later date.

I am nervous about shooting in some remote location with a stranger.

You are welcome to bring a friend along, as long as they stay out of the way (i.e. in the general area but not in the way of the photo shoot). I can also provide references of previous models I've worked with.

I need pictures for a modelling portfolio, can you help?

I will trade time working on portfolio iamges such as headshots or fashion, in exchange for you helping on my fine art projects. I am generally not available for commission, but if you have any interesting projects, it never hurts to ask. Update: I have completed setting up a studio, I am looking for models to test doing headshots and some fashion.

I have a pay website and would like you to shoot some photos for it.  Oh and by the way, my rate is $$$ an hour.

Keep in mind I do not shoot "adult" material, anything erotic still needs to be "art" (as you would find on nerve.com for example). In this case I won't pay modeling fees but will provide scans of all the images (and prints of the best ones). I retain the copyright to the images but you will get a limited release to use them on your site.

I want to use your photos in my online modelling portfolio to promote myself.

That's fine, you will have the rights to use any of the images for that purpose.
